Here i am sitting at McDonalds, waiting for Nick as he is attending his Math class..
There is an old couple sitting beside me, probably early / mid 60s. When i was walking in, i saw the husband dropping the wife off by the roadside. While the wife walked into McDonalds, the husband drove off to park his vehicle. The wife come into McDonalds, sat down and waited. 2 mins later, the husband walked in with a set of newspaper, asked the wife what she will like for breakfast and proceed to the counter to order. After ordering, the husband came back with the food in his tray, carefully opened the box of the Fillet-o-fish for his wife and they both ate the breakfast and sipped coffee together.
After breakie, the wife helped the husband to wipe off some food at the corner of his mouth, and she picked up the papers, carefully placed the papers in the centre so that both of them could share and read the papers. When she comes across any interesting articles, she would point them out to her husband and discuss on the topic.. The husband, on the other hand will patiently hear what she has to say even though he was reading some other news report.
After about 10 mins, the decided to leave, the husband cleared the tray while the wife kept the papers. The husband walked to his wife, held on to the arm while she attempts to stand up (i supposed her knees are painful) and hand in hand, they stroll out of McDonalds towards the direction of Cold Storage.
It might seems silly, but i hope when i am old, my husband will also hold my hand, bring me for breakfast, go to the supermarket with me etc.. Might seems a very trivial thing, but i think you need a whole lifetime to communicate and plenty of love for each other to be that loving at that age.. Don't you agree?
