Angry!!

It's 3 days since the incident and i am still mad!! Really!! It's not me to get mad for so long and over such people especially i don't even know that person!

We were at Jusco in JB.. Nick has a habit of making us buy him books from the Harris bookshop everytime we try to convince him to go JB.. Anyway, there's really nothing bad about buying books.. But i hate it when they have the so-call book fair at the reading area where the kids reads and some sales people trying to make you buy some so called very good and cannot live without encyclopedias!..

And, being 95% English speaking, my kids don't probably speak mandarin as much as most local children do and they also won't be able to understand what those salesman are talking half the time!!.

Anyways, what made me hopping mad was.. This idiotic salesman, walked up to Nick, spoke to him in chinese while Nick was busy reading his Ben 10 story book. Nick didn't even answered or looked at him (well, mummy say DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS right?), then the next instant, the salesman started verbally abusing the Nick loudly saying he is "STUPID" and "RUDE"!!  The best part was, daddy was seated next to Nick, was too SHOCK to react!!..

I was 2 bookshelf away, and i heard that person using those words, so i walked out to make sure that Grace and Nick were near their father only to realized that it was my son that the person was scolding!.

I walked up straight to the salesman, and told him loudly to mind his language he used on my kids and that my son isn't STUPID!! And why did he say that my son was RUDE to him??

He told me that he spoke to the boy and he completely ignored him! So i asked him loudly (weirdly, i was mad and yet calm enuff not to slap him).. "Did your parents not teach you NOT TALK TO STRANGERS?? "

Well, he didn't apologize!! He actually "proceed" to sell me his set of RM2000, reduced to RM900 encyclopedias!

I simply walked away with probably a lot of steam coming out of my nostral and ears!..

And i guess the reason for me to be hopping mad up to now is because i haven't given him a piece of my mind!!..!!

And!!. Hubby later told me he actually did that to 2 other parents and they bought the set of books from him because he said that their child was STUPID!!

Such an IDIOT!!! ARGH!!!

Selfish Mummy..

Last week, before the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan, Nick came out with a big plan to help the children in South Africa.. He wanted to sell off his toys that are in good condition and buy food, cook them and send them to Africa for the children. When we told him it's not going to work because the food will be ROTTEN by then, he was rather disappointed.  We tell him he could send cash and the charity organization will send the money across on his behalf, but he was very certain that we cannot send money as it may not reach the children at the end of the day.. :( We wondered all week where he learnt that from..

Last Sunday, the earthquake and tsunami in Japan made the young man pounder again. This time, he wanted to be there for the children, babysit them while their parents rebuild their home.. Such a small boy, with such a BIG ambition. :)

Then, the nuclear plant exploded, leaving the already troubled country in a bigger mess..  Seeing the chaotic situation in Japan, many of us would have wanted to stay away from it as far as possible, but it made him more determine to help those people in Japan.. When asked, he would say he wants to help them to rebuild their homes, look after and play with the children while their parents get busy with all the other things, he wants to pack his toys for the children to play etc.. And he said "i want to join the army when i am older so that i can be there to help them.. ".

I supposed i have to feel very proud of my son because he's only 5yo and he has such a HUGE heart to walk out of his comfort zone and help others.. But, i am still a mum.. If i can choose, i want to keep him in Singapore, safe from all the dangers around.. :(

Headache..

The helper just broke the news..

She won't be returning back here after this Hari Raya home leave.. :(

Am feeling sad cos she's like our 4th child at home, but also understand her wish of staying close to mama after working here for so long..

Tsk tsk.. Need to look for a new helper in July which will be tough cos, it's Hari Raya season, and it can be hard to find 1.

Wish me luck..

The K2 Kids of Today..

It never fail to make me wonder what am i doing to my son's life!  Am i helping him or ruining his childhood..

The K2 boy came home with 3 pages of writing for the weekend. Mind you, 5yo going on to 6.. It's 3 pages of a total 10 words. He tried to negotiate with the helper.. Of 3 pages, 1 for Friday, 1 for Saturday, 1 for Sunday. The helper reminded him he has English and Math at Kumon on Saturday morning and we usually bring them out to play after class. He has Chinese classes on Sunday morning which we would be home till like 2pm and he has to nap and then try to squeeze in time for the wii or psp and tv after nap.

I thought that i am a modern parent. I thought by sending my son for enrichment classes and  from there, learning is fun. He will be able to learn what he needs to earlier in a fun way, before his peers and thus breeze thru Kindergarten, Primary school etc. With strong foundation, that should also help him to finish his secondary school with no sweat.

Boy, looking at it now.. I think i am so WRONG.

Every afternoon, son will call me at work.. Telling me he has 2-3 pages of homework and needs my help to complete. Asking me to come home after work and help him.

I knock off at 6pm sharp, rush home. By 6.15pm, i am at home, son sits beside me with his homework while i "swallow" my dinner. After completing his school homework, he usually takes his English/Chinese revision books and sit down asking me to complete a few pages with him. By 9pm, i will chase him to bed. This routine goes on every Monday - Friday except on evenings where he attends Kumon or his music classes.

In K2, he's reading words that i probably learned at P3 or P4. Chinese is sometimes way too difficult for me that i have to have the dictionary with me. Math, they are learning Mass, measurements, graphs etc.  And at 5yo, they also have Sudoku to do..

It's tough being a child today. It's also harder being a parent don't you think so?

Ranting..

What does being a parent mean to you?

To me.. It simply means taking full reponsibility of our kids. Providing they with all they need (in terms of love, education and joy / fun) and teaching them the values and their reponsibilities, and the list is endless..

Lately.. A girlfriend who is selling some health products told me that i should start taking them to "maintain" myself.

Honestly, i don't spend lots on myself (maybe except for my collection of my not too expensive bags). Perhaps 10 suits and 3-5 pairs of heels for work, 5 tees and a couple of bottoms for going out on weekends.. That's about all i can think off.

Yesterday an idiot told me everything in my life revolves my family, my kids.. I should just be a housewife.. After my family, comes my friends.. Where does work comes in?

WTF!! I got so pissed!

As a wife, i have to be there for my husband..
As a mother, i have to be there for my kids when they need me.
As a parent, i have the responsibility to provide for them..
As a child to my parents, i have to provide for them should they retire..
If life is not about my family, then why should i be working to provide them with better education, better life.

Then again.. Who is that he to tell me what i am better off in being?

If my life isn't about my kids and my spouse, i shouldn't even be married!!
If my life isn't about my parents, then i am not even worthy being their child!!
If my life is about all he said, family and friends... Then, why on earth am i stuck in office in the month of DEC clearing work when my monkies at at home waiting for me to bring them out??

It's for work! PERIOD!

ARGH..

And here i am feeling guilty because i am at work and not with my kids... And then an idiot pop out and made such a tackless comment!

Am Not So Looking Forward..

You know what..

I am think am getting a little sick of traveling.. Haha..

Bimbo huh?

One minute am saying i need a holiday, am looking forward to holidays. Now am saying this.. Haiz..

Don't get me wrong.. I still love to travel, but the thoughts of leaving Nick and Grace to be taken care of by the helper makes me worry!.. Not that she ill-treats them, but, even as parents, we sometimes need a break from our own children, what more we are talking about a helper?

Kuala Lumpur this Friday, Bangkok 2 weekends later, Korea end of October..

Next, coming up, Taiwan with the entire platoon..! I think worse.. I will be dead beat after the trip..

Hmm..

Dilemma..

Am about to burst into tears!

Nick is due for Primary 1 registration in 2011, going to school in 2012.. If i want to sign up and do voluntary work so that he stands a better chance in getting into the schools of my choice, i need to do so within the next couple of days!

My choices as such..
  • Tao Nan School - I need not do any voluntary work, Nick gets a confirm slot in Phase 1.
  • Ngee Ann Primary - I also do not need to do any voluntary work, Nick gets a confirm slot in Phase 2A2.
  • Red Swastika School /Temasek Primary School - I need to apply and fulfill 40 hours of voluntary work, put my name in for Phase 2B, perhaps need to ballot or may not even get a slot since i stay only within the 2KM range.. If i am not selected as a parent volunteer, i will have to register under Phase 2C and the chances of going in is very very low..
  • There are other choices such as Opera Estate Primary, Yu Neng Primary, Feng Shan Primary within the estate, if i apply and do 40 hours of voluntary work, we should get in for Phase 2B, otherwise, register under Phase 2C also shouldn't have much problems in getting in....
Well.. I shouldn't have so much problems getting my #2 into Primary School and infact, i should be spoilt for choices since i have quite a number of better schools to choose from.. But as a matter of fact, i am and i am very very stressed..

Sadly, my #2 isn't one of those very bright kid, or perhaps a late bloomer (i hope), so looking at the choices i have, i am really having a hard time..
  • Tao Nan School - A top school in Singapore.. One that i so badly wanted my eldest to enter so that he will have the best education. Standards wise, i suppose it's very high and perhaps (and i am so afraid) might crush my #2's confidence if he doesn't does well. And since #2, i could say, is very KS and diligent, am also afraid he spends his whole entire time sitting there and study just to do as well as his peers.
  • Ngee Ann Primary - A better school than other many neighborhood schools, definitely among my few best choice, but it's a little far from home!
  • Red Swastika School / Temasak Primary School - A better school than other many neighborhood schools, among my few better choice, nearer to home, but have to apply and do the 40 hours of voluntary work, yet, no guarantee Nick can get in!
The problem is..
  • if i don't register Nick for Tao Nan School, Grace will not get a place in this school under Phase 1 as by the time she is due of Primary 1, Sam will already be in Secondary School.
  • if i register Nick in Tao Nan School, poor boy might be so caught up with studying that he may not have time to play since he is KS (i should be positive and use the word "diligent" instead) by nature..
  • if i do not register him at Ngee Ann Primary for Phase 2A2, he will not get a place in that school for the next few phases anymore as we are living outside the 2km range from the school and, it's not easy to get into that school too..
  • for Red Swastika School / Temasek Primary School, if we do not get into the school at Phase 2B, chances in 2C might be close to 0..
  • i cannot secure a slot at Ngee Ann Primary, throw in for ballot at Red Swistaka or Temasek Primary. Neither can i put my name in for ballot for both Red Swastika and Temasek Primary! It's either ONE.. :(
  • And if Red Swastika or Temasek Primary fails, then i am only left with the unwanted choices of neighborhood school!
Oh damn!! Why do i have so much headaches!!

And, for Grace, i actually was thinking of checking out the Convent Schools for her when she is due for Primary School!  Am i just too KS also?

Help Desk?

It's 4th day into the New Year! 2 person called and asked for a loan..

On Friday, SIL called for a loan.. Hubby refused. Then MIL called to scold hubby for turning SIL down saying that that is his sister, if he don't help her, then who will etc etc.. Well, they have got to realize that they have got to make their money last a whole month and not going around asking for a loan and jumping at us when we refuse to lend (should be give since it never comes back anyway!)!  *pissed*

This morning, a not so close friend called saying her son is ill, and needed a loan to bring him to the doctor.. I was puzzled.. About 5 months back, she was complaining to me that the house she bought was so freaking small and there isn't enough space for her and her kids. She said that she should have insisted her husband to buy one 1 with the size like mine.. 2 months back, she called and told me she's done with the renovations and it has costed her 60k!! That's hell of a lot for a 3room flat!  And according to her, she's re-done the whole house including hacking up the entire flooring!

I remembered that same evening hb came home, i was telling him i feel so short-changed.

Our very 1st flat was a 3room.. Very small.. We barely paid anything in cash since CPF covered the entire downpayment. We forked out 300 bucks for paint and we ended up going down to the house every evening after work, painted till 11ish, took a bus back to my parents place to sleep. There were times when both of us were just too exhausted after working and painting and we ended up sleeping on the small mattress in partly painted house that smelled of paint!

Our 1st sofa was sponsored by my grand-mama since we are so cash striped.. Water heater was paid by my dad. We didn't even had money then to pay for a new toilet bowl or new cabinet that we used back whatever was left by the previous owner.  Mum sponsored a ceiling fan for the hall. That was it..

We moved into the new home with a sofa, a water heater, our old queen size mattress, an old 15inch box television, a ceiling fan, a cooking stove we bought from giant at $29 and a small kids table for 1 dollar so that we could sit on the floor and eat. Dad pitied us, he gave us an old bar fridge and bought us some new plates and utensils. That was it!

We lived in that manner for the next 1 year+. Then slowly, we saved up for a dining table, so almost 2 years after moving in, we had a decent dining table.. Slowly, a mini size fridge, then a system 1 air-con, then a slightly bigger television and it went on.

It took us almost 3 years to save up for a downpayment for a small car, so that we could fetch our ,then 4yo son, who was living with my parents.

Then, things got better and we moved out into our current place. Still, i didn't bare to spend that much on reno for our new home. We left our flooring untouched as we aren't sure if there will be an enbloc for our new home, so it didn't make much sense to pay 15k on sometime we will only use a couple of years if the enbloc went thru.. I shopped around for a decent sofa, went out to buy all those plugs and stuffs etc so that that will lower my entire reno cost, got individual contractors to come in and built up different items which brought my whole ID cost down from the original 45k to a mere 11k including all my sofas, plasma TVs and air-con units..

Perhaps we learnt that money don't drop from heaven the hard way, so we didn't feel a need to pay 45k or to apply for loan just to renovate the house!.

Oh, back to that friend.. She apparently took a loan from 3 bank (i was told), thus managed to loan the full 60k, her husband is the sole bread winner at home bringing slightly below 2k a month (i was told), she has a maid (i dunno how she applied since u need a min of 30k per annum to apply for 1), her 3 room flat has 3 plasma tvs (i am not against people who buy big and nice flat screens, but i don't agree that you buy something nice and put it at home, while the kids have no food to eat or no money for them to see doctor when they are ill)..

Anyways, i gave her a 50 bucks loan... Am not sure if it would come back, but ya.. The 1st and the last time.

All the best to her!

December A Long, Stressful, Worrying and Tiring Month..

December's been an extremely long month for me..
  • I started my online business, took a plunge and went ahead with my pushcart idea, got so tied up that i am literally worked day and night..
  • Grace started on this bad habit that every day the first thing she does when she opens her eyes is "Mummy, i Love You. I don't want to go to school, i want to go kai kai (since the push cart is in a shopping mall) with you.."  Every day, to send her to school, i need to pacify her.. And, Nick and her will cry buckets from the moment they alight from the car till they reach the school..
  • Nicholas and Grace are behaving badly these days. Am not too sure if it's because i am not giving them enough attention compared to previously, or is it Grace is going thru her terrible twos and Nicholas "monkie see , monkie do", they now cry and scream in public whenever i say NO to them.. Grace even goes to the extend of sitting on the floor, cry, and at times, lie down on the floor to cry, attracting passerby who stop and shake their heads.
  • Sam's school holiday was packed with holiday classes in the mornings, and usually afternoons are free. So i usually have to drop him off for classes and pick him at noon to send him home. Perhaps, the positive part of me doing some small push cart business is he has learnt to be more independent. On a few occasions when i cannot pick him on time, he is able to take MRT or catch a cab home on his own after classes. Also, he now is not afraid of being at home alone for a couple of hours.
  • My mum had went to go her tooth extracted. Somehow, the extraction didn't go very well and to my disgust, apart from the whole extraction trauma she went through, the left side of her face had a huge patch of blue-black from the cheek all the way to the neck indicating that some blood vessels have been punctured during the procedure. The whole swell took 2 long weeks to subside of which during those times, we were so scared whenever we saw her bleeding thru her nose and mouth after the extraction procedure.
  • Grand-mama had a mild heart failure some 2 days before Christmas, and we cancelled the family vacation to Hanoi so that i can bring her to the doctors. You may ask why is it me.. Where are her children? Well.. Mum took long MC after the tooth extraction, so she couldn't apply for leave when it happened.. My aunty also recently started work with a new company, and since it was close to x'mas, many of her colleagues were on leave and there was shortage of man-power, so it was tough for her.. My uncle? Honestly, i dunno. He's at home, still unemployed after 10+ years, so perhaps that's the reason, my grand-mama didn't want him to bring her to the doctors knowing that he will have to approach his wife or us for money.. And, dad and hubby are pretty mad with the family. From the cost incurred from the cancellation of our trip, to the doctor's visits and tests, neither my aunty nor my uncle has offered to pay any part or a portion of Grand-mama's bills. Mum helped with half, i am quietly paying the other half, and hubby is feeling the pinch since cardiologist bills are as expected, hefty.  I will blog about the whole story in a separate entry..
  • The unit above mine was sold sometime ago.. Owners i supposed are rushing with reno works, intime for Chinese New Year. But, of all days, hacking works had to start today! The kids are at home since school is closed today, so they couldn't even catch a nap with all the crazy hacking noises and were cranky.. Hubby and myself were obviously too tired for all their nonsenses.. And what's worse? The hackings will go on all the way till 3rd Jan which is the whole long weekend with the kids! Seriously, i couldn't understand how some people can be so inconsiderate or don't they even have any common sense!.. It's a long weekend, and like many other people, we just need our quiet break.. Can't they schedule their hackings on a normal working day when the chances are, people will be out at work? Haiz..
Anyways.. It's the last day of 2009.. I supposed in this post, i have used up my grumbling quota for 2009.. Although, my December's been a crazy month, and I believe my 2010 will be better.. :) My 2009, i am blessed with lots of love and patience from my darling husband, countless kisses and hugs from my 3 monkies, a healthy and happy family, and a lot of good friends who love and cared about me.. I hope i will be blessed with the same if not more for 2010..

For 2010, i hope -
  • grand-mama will recover real soon..
  • hubby will shower me with more love (greedy!) and more pocket money :P
  • i will be very discipline on attending my lectures and on sending the kids for their enrichment classes..
  • everyone will be blessed with good health, lots of love, happiness and money.
  • every wish and dream will come true. :)
  • all will be generous in donating to the less fortunate.
Have a blessed 2010!

So Much To Do, Yet, So Little Time..

With the recent move to go into business, the upgrading works that requires plenty of cleaning up, the school holidays that the kids have more school holiday programs, i am getting very exhausted..

I have so much to do, yet, so little time, and being almost a perfectionist, i am finding myself struggling to breathe and rest.. Yet, i cannot depend on hubby for help as i know i will jump at him for things that don't quite fit what i want..

Friends have been sms-ing me arranging for play-dates or even coffee, but i barely have the time to do so..

I clearly need a break now, yet, we are going on a family vacation again soon which means, i will be more exhausted after that..

Haiz.. What did i get myself into??

Illiterate or Just pure STUPID?

We drove MIL back to JB today..

As usual, after we cleared the Singapore Immigrations while returning from Malaysia, we made a go for the loo..

This lady came out of the ladies toilet. Her husband and son (teenager) wanted to go into the toilet..  It was a FEMALE toilet.. If they cannot read English, there was a picture there to indicate female! They were half way into the female toilet and i informed them loudly "Hello.. THIS IS A FEMALE TOILET" in mandarin. The man and the son walked half way out, still not very willing to come out of that place. The woman (that wife cum mother) told me "NEVER MIND LAH. Won't die if they go into there right?" I told her.. "U look up and u can see a camera there. They can walk in, it's fine with me.." They walked out and i went into the female toilet.

When i walked out, my husband was telling me that boy and man had some problem, they came out of the male toilet, and walked over to the female toilet again, stood there for a while before making their way to their vehicle..

Weird right? Of all places, they try to do funny things right under the police nose..

Victimized, Irritated, Frustrated, Angry and Fuming Mad!

I wish i had better words to describe my fears, anger and frustrations now!

Our vehicle got hit by someone who had no balls to admit that he reversed into us.

As such, we went to the post station to make a police report on a hit and run.

I walked into the police station, only to "quarrel" with the officer as they are not sure if Traffic Police wanted to take the case in since it happened in a private carpark! After much "quarrel" and verifications with the Traffic Police, they took down the report.  Well, we dunno if they will look into the case!

It too them close to 2 hours to take down everything, put them into writing and churn our a report of less than 100 words!

Day 2, we were to make a report at IDAC. We were told that when report the case to IDAC, our insurance company will have to notify the other party (the guy with NO BALLS) to verify.  And in the letter, our car plate number will be stated. So if that fellow is a chao ah beng and decides to track us down (SG is so freaking small, u only need HOURS to locate a vehicle and my family), my whole family is at risk! IDAC and our insurance company has no other alternative for us, and can only inform us we risk losing our 10% NCD if we do not report within 24 hours. So much of help here.. (BTW, our vehicle got "kissed" at the boot and bumper last year but we didn't claim from the insurance company, rather, we did a private settlement with the person who "kissed" us.  However, since it's required by the law that we report all accidents to IDAC, we did so.  And that resulted in our current year premium being shot up by $500+.. )

After i left IDAC, i called TP to check who was the officer in-charge of the case, only to know that they have assigned an officer, but is unreachable.. From his office line to his mobile line, no one picks up. Not even a voice mail! And everytime i call, he just presses it off and i get a "number busy" response.. *fark*

So what.. What am i to do next.. Darns!!

I am a citizen who pays from ROAD TAX to INCOME TAX... Yet, when i need them, where on earth are they!  ARGH!!

Hopeless Me

Last Friday, i collected hubby's new Macbook Pro and Sam's new LG lappy.  I was also suppose to pick up our new Singtel Mio Modem as we upgraded the network speed (actually, i have no idea why we did the upgrade since our existing speed is something that no one should complain about if they had tried the networks in almost every other part of the world!), but i was carry too much things after i picked up both lappies that i decided to pick the modem on Monday instead.

Nevertheless, being a Mac user for many ages, i set-up and downloaded the programs from hubby within mins, converted Sam's old ibook (yups, it's an ibook and i know it can be send to the museum soon!) details and login for my Missy Grace to use without any headaches!

Now, with Sam's LG lappy, i am still struggling with setting up the network, inputing the password that keeps informing me that there is an error, and other problems like slow start up and takes forever to shut down.. It's close to making me PUKE BLOOD at this rate it is going!

It's Day 4 since i brought the LG lappy home, and i've still got no clue how to get that done!! ARGH...

Lesson learnt..
1. Stick with Macs in future.
2. If we really need to get a PC, ask for someone to get it properly setup before bringing it home!

Pissed Over an Idiot!

Gosh, i am so pissed with an idiot today!

As usual, we brought #2 and #3 to Ikea playground and as usual while we were about to leave, we allowed Nick and Grace to Q up to buy their hotdog bun.

Then there was this malay boy (late 20s) who apparently cut their Q, and we kept quiet.. And another malay aunty did the same. So we nicely told the staff that the kids are in the Q and are waiting for their turns to purchase their hotdogs.  And guess what? The malay boy actually had the cheek to tell me in my face "OH, so this is what parents do these days. They make their kids Q and buy food while they stand there and just relax"..

Wah piangs.. Made me boil! I told him straight off in the face, "Well, at least these young kids knows what is Q up and such a grown up like you has to cut their Q.. This is what happens when the parents don't teach you to Q and buy food when u are young!"

My dear hubby got to drag me away before i start to abuse him with my limited F languages..

Come to think about it, i also think it's funny. it's one of the few times that i get so worked up over idiots.. :P

Feeling Disappointed.. :(

Nick just started learning music recently. Teacher felt that he is progressing exceptionally well and he's been very diligent in practicing. Teacher suggested sending him for an audition which i did. For a 4y.o. who is still a beginner, he played very well.  Maybe because mummy personally coached him this time round and she didn't do that when Sam was learning his piano and violin, so she cannot help it but feel very disappointed when Nick wasn't selected!

Mummy took it out on daddy saying that it was all his fault since daddy wasn't supportive on sending Nick going for music classes, let alone the audition.  Daddy wasn't keen in spending his evenings and weekends sending and waiting for Nick to finish classes. Daddy also felt that we haven't been keeping to our budgets especially since mummy has stopped working.

Mummy knows it, just that she feels that if Nick has the potential, then why not? All others can be compromise in one way or another..  Right? :(

The In-Laws Are In Town

Yups, my ILs are in town.. They are here for the next 2 days to spend time with the kids.

Friends who know me, knows i don't have any special likings for my in-laws, simple because of the way they treat my poor hubby. As most were aware, my hubby was hospitalized in May for being suspected having H1N1. The day he was discharged, Missy Pig decided to check into "KK Hotel" for a stay too since she was having symptoms of the H1N1 virus! So, my hb who was just discharged was to take care of the 2 boys who were at home, his also down with tummy flu wife who was also in KKH with missy pig and had to shuttle to hospital to see his little pig too!  We then asked his mum for help to come out and look after hubby as he was very very weak (and i really mean WEAK!)  She totally REFUSED citing reasons like H1N1 in Singapore, jams at customs, no train tickets since it was school holiday period etc! Boy, i was damn pissed with her.

Then, August is Nick's b'day and he specially requested his grandma to celebrate his b'day with him this year.. Again, they turn him down giving all sorts of reasons to avoid coming out! *Angry*

If you are wondering why she is here today? She had a tiff with SIL and decided to ask my hubby to fetch her over to stay 2 days before she returns to kampong, saying she also miss the kids *crap*.. Be well, i want my kids to spend time with their grandparents too, so, i will just be nice for the next couple of days. :)

Oh, BTW, hubby say we can leave the kids with ILs for a couple of hours and catch a movie or so, well, i doubt so.. Missy piggy cannot not stick to mummy when she is home, even to the extend she has to keep popping into the kitchen every 5 mins when mummy is doing laundry to make sure mummy hasn't disappear.. :(

Oh.. The Signs Are Telling Me It's Still Not Time To Change My Mattress..

My dear mattress is currently 9, going on to 10 (years old)!  It has survived the vommits, urine and poos of my 3 kids and, the springs aren't as good as it is supposed to be anymore.

2 years back when we shifted, we wanted to have a brand new bed, but as i was pregnant, the oldies instructed us to keep the current till i pop, and as KS / superstitious parents, we didn't want to take chances and allow anything happen to the little one in the tummy, we obeyed.

After i popped, hb and me went around shopping for a new one!! Then came the pee, poos and pukes, so we decided! We will change a new one only when our little sweetheart is 2 years old cos by then, she will be big enough to tell us when she wants to pee, poo and puke!

Our little sweetheart turned 2yo in June, so we have been looking around, asking around and just a few days back, we have decided that we have found the one!! The Right One! Was supposed to go back and make deposits for it this weekend, but well, signs are telling us we shouldn't change the mattress YET!  Argh..

Friday afternoon, Grace pee-ed on our bed when she napped in the afternoon. Usually, she doesn't does that. She will wake up and walk to the bathroom, pee and go back to bed! Argh..

Saturday night, Nick had fever, and he came to bunk into our bed.. Guess what? He also pee-ed on the bed! Argh argh!!

Just an hour back, Grace decided she's caught a cough from somewhere, and PUKED on my BED!!! ARGH!!!!!

OK! The idea on a new mattress off for the next 1 year!  I don't think i can take it if i were to pay 5k for my new mattress and my darlings decide to pee and puke on it!  My poor heart will be crying!! :(

Me and my rumbles..

I am a SAHM by choice..

My life used to be close to perfect, a job that gives me a decent salary, a helper that takes absolutely good care of my 3 kids, a neat home when i return after work, a husband that fetches me to and fro work, we could go dating almost anytime we want as we have a trust-worthy helper.. But it has since changed the day i decided i wanted to spend more time with my children.

I have been almost doing nothing at home but to play and "entertain" my youngest child, surf the net, do some housework and cooking etc..

We used to have a domestic helper but as the kids grow, we realized they have been very dependent on the helper. They will go "auntie, please pour me a cup of water", "auntie, please take my towel for me", after dinner, they will just leave the plates on the table for the helper to clear-up after them and the list goes on and on..  As such, we have to make a painful decision for the helper to go..

The house have been in a messy state since the helper left, and i wonder is it because i am in the midst of re-arranging stuffs or am i really so hopeless with housework..  My husband have been very upset but am not too sure is it because he has to return to a messy home, or, is it because i have really no time for him these days.. We don't seems to be able to hold a decent conversation with each other without either 1 of the kids interrupting us these days.. And as my lil girl has become closer to me after the helper left, she's now insist that neither the father, nor the brothers can hold my hands when we are out and she will start to throw herself onto the floor if we refuse.

Haiz.. What should i do?
