Hua Hin and Back in 3 Days!

We checked in and boarded the aircraft without much fuss since they kids are frequent travelers on the plane..   By the time the aircraft too off, they were getting a little restless asking for their toys, colouring books, and 3 of them were busy talking to each other..   :) Daddy and mummy had a chance to take a short nap while on the plane while the kids were entertaining each other.

Upon arrival in Bangkok, we breezed thru immigration and our pre-booked van was waiting for us outside. Another 2.5hours by road (the van was very cheap! THB1000 per way, that's slightly below $50 per way!) Mummy felt a little nauseous from the speeding and weaving through traffic but good thing manage not to puke!

Around 12.30pm, we arrived at our reasort "Let's Sea Hua Hin"

The compound outside the hotel was very much still under construction, so we wasn't very impressed with it. Once the van turned in, it's so pretty!!..

Here are some pictures to share of the resort.. Till mummy figures out how to download the pictures from the new camera to the iphoto, and share on the home network to transfer them to her macbook air, we will not get to see pictures of the kids.. :(

How Did The Hua Hin Honeymoon Ended Up With 3 Light Bulbs?

Daddy and Mummy was supposed to go for a short "honeymoon" to Hua Hin, so a day before the trip, they drove Nick and Grace to grandmama who stays in Johor. On the way home from Johor, mummy declared that she misses the 2 rascals.  Surprisingly, daddy too,  admitted that he misses them..

Daddy dropped mummy off at home, Daddy went back to office for meeting and clear work.

11am
Mummy smsed Daddy : Wonder what are your kids doing now.. Is Grace looking for me?
Daddy replied : Dunno. I call them after meeting k..

11.15am
Daddy smsed Mummy : Grace is playing. Have not started looking for u or me yet!
* Dissappointed.. I thought at least my girl would miss me.. :(

12.10pm
Mummy smsed Daddy : Dunno Grace ate lunch liao not..

12.20pm
Daddy replied : Mama say ate liao, now drinking her milk.
Mummy to Daddy : Did she look for me?
Daddy replied : No.
* Heart-broken..

1pm
Mummy to Daddy : Dunno Grace and Nick will cry not tonight..
* No reply.. :(

1.10pm
Mummy to Daddy : Shit leh.. I think i miss that 2 very badly leh! HOW??

1.30pm
Mummy buay tahan, called the travel agency and check if there are seats for the kids.. Agency says flights are full! Change flight? Cannot.. All other flights are just as bad cos it's a long weekend! Darns! Put the kids on waiting list...

1.45pm
Mummy smsed daddy and told him what she just done..
Daddy replied : Not something new.. As expected.

3pm
Travel agent called.. The kids flight seats are confirmed!.. Issued tickets
Mummy smsed daddy : Seats are confirmed, gone ahead to issue tix liao.. We got to fetch them home tonight.. Come home soon.. :)
Daddy replied : So honeymoon-ing with 3 light bulbs is it?

Daddy was home at 5.30pm, and we left for Johor to pick the kids.. Massive jam on the causeway, we only reached MIL's place close to 9pm.  MIL was shock to see us. The 2 rascals were definitely happy. Nick told MIL, "see, my mummy will come and fetch me home to sleep. No need to change pajamas!", and by the time we got home, 1am! Tired..

To be continued..

The Latest Toy at Home

Nick has been learning the electone for quite some time already.  He's been practicing his pieces using the old keyboard that mummy has. Yesterday, while the kids were away, mummy had time to google and look for some 2nd hand electone, and chanced upon this that was going at $150.

It's not a latest model or anything huge and impressive, mummy thinks it's probably one that mummy used when she was a little girl, so it could mean it's approx. 10-15 years old..  But for $150 bucks, mummy couldn't resist the temptation!  Mummy sms-ed the seller and to asked on the condition and if the price is negotiable, and decided to view it with daddy that same night.

After viewing the item, mummy decided to get it from Nick, offered $120 for the item instead of $150. The seller accepted the offer, and even helped daddy to load it into the car!

And here we are, home with our new toy! :P

Mummy thinks if Nick is willing to spend time practicing on the instrument, and use it for the next 2 years at least, her $120 bucks is well spent!

Daddy, although wasn't too supportive of the decision to purchase this, told Nick if he really enjoys playing the electone, he has to practice hard and daddy will upgrade the electone to one that he uses in class (which i heard from the teacher, it costs almost 7k)!

PS Daddy :  I hope u mean it cos mummy will from now insist Nick practice cos mummy also likes that model! This one is such a far cry from the EL900 series that grandpa bought for mummy when she was learning the electone.

* Grandpa was pretty upset when he came over and saw the electone that mummy bought! He was grumbling that there wasn't ebay at that time, that he ended up paying  almost 20k for mummy's electone and mummy only learned for 2 years and gave up learning afterthat!  Well, grandpa's 20k wasn't spent for nothing! At least, mummy learnt that she shouldn't cough out that much on the children's instrument until they are very interested to continue learning it after a few years!

PPS : Not sure if it's only grandpa and daddy, but it seems like the man in our family isn't very keen on the kids learning music!
