Monkies and their Master Pieces

Since i isn't able to bring the monkies out on most days, so bought some art pieces for them to keep them busy.. Howeve, Nick isn't very patient, nor interested in crafts, so Grace end up doing almost everything.

Shrink Art With Grand-Auntie Jeanne

Grand-Auntie texted me a day before we went to her home "I teaching the kids to do shrink art, so bring your colour pencils." That sms left me puzzled, so i replied with " What is shrink art?" and the reply came back as "I will BAKE THE PAPER after they colour loh."

I didn't thought much about it since i assumed she was pulling my legs, nevertheless, i brought the colour pencils to her home.. 

The first pix shows the size of the shrink art paper against the hand phone holder. Then the next few pictures shows the piece of paper shrinking and curling up and with a frying ladle, we smack the piece of paper flat! When flatten, it's like a hard plastic and u can hang a key ring and make it into a key chain.  Cool right?

SNG and Their Art Work on National Day

Mummy happen to walk past a shop that sells pre-cutout form crafts with self adhesive tapes behind, so she bought 3 sets for the 3 rascals.... Not too bad an idea! Kept them quiet for 2 hours although they created a mess on the floor with the little papers flying everywhere! Will pop by to buy a few more sets soon..  

    

P.s.: The shop is at the other end of Singapore, so hope that by the time we return, there are still some left!

SNG and their Pretty Photo Frames

I was busy packing the bookshelves last week and found some plain Ikea wooden frames. Since the kids are at home, i took out the paints and some ear buds so that they can paint the frames.  After painting and drying them, we pasted some stickers on it to decorate it.

Nick's version of Space Shuttle @ 3.5yo

The other night i was telling the kids bedtime stories and we were on this topic of Space Shuttle.

   

While Grace imagined her milk bottle was a Space Shuttle, Nick had a completely different idea on Space Shuttles.

  

This is what he did 2 days back while we were having our little "US" time.. :)
